Cancellation Policy

By submitting payment, the Client agrees to this contract, and the Photographer reserves the event date exclusively. Retainer & Payments A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date, with the final balance due 30 days prior to the event. Returned checks incur a $35 fee. Services This agreement covers wedding photography services outlined in your selected package. Full payment must be made as scheduled. Copyright & Usage The Photographer retains all rights to the images. Clients may share digital files for personal use with appropriate credit. No altering, selling, or applying filters beyond minor cropping (like Instagram crop) is permitted. Travel Expenses First 200 miles round-tri are included. Beyond that, travel is billed at $0.55/mile, plus accommodations and meals if needed. Image Editing Photographer selects and edits final images. RAW files will not be released. Additional edits are available at $90/hour. Model Release Images may be used for promotional purposes unless the client opts out for personal safety or privacy reasons. Social Media Clients may post images with appropriate credit to Graceful Shutter Photography. Please refrain from using filters or altering the images. Gallery Delivery Edited galleries are delivered within 4–6 weeks and available online for 6 months. Clients are responsible for downloading and archiving their files. Prints, Albums, and Credits Print credits and album selections must be used within one year of the wedding date or are forfeited. Indemnification & Liability The Photographer is not liable for circumstances beyond their control, including missed shots, technical failure, or event disruptions. Refunds are limited to payments made, excluding the retainer. Meals One hot meal must be provided for the photographer(s) for coverage over six hours. Exclusivity Graceful Shutter Photography must be the sole professional photographer unless otherwise agreed. Postponement & Cancellation Postponements incur a 25% fee. COVID-related postponements are allowed once without fee. Cancellations result in forfeiture of all retainers and payments. Force Majeure In cases of illness or acts of God, best efforts will be made to find a replacement photographer. Refunds exclude retainers. Final Sale Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final.
